1. Agreement
By placing a booking with Event Hire South London, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions in full. These terms form the basis of the agreement between you (the customer) and Event Hire South London.
2. Bookings & Confirmation
Your booking is not confirmed until we have received your deposit payment. Deposits must be received at least 72 hours before your event date. We will confirm your booking in writing once payment has been received.
We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
3. Minimum Order
We only accept orders with a minimum value of £40.
4. Pricing & Service Options
We offer three service levels:
Option A — You collect, fit, remove and return items clean, dry and ironed.
Option B — You collect and return items. We launder them for you.
Option C — Full service. We deliver, fit all equipment and collect afterwards.
Prices vary by service option and item. Please refer to our current price list or request a quote.
5. Deposit Options
We offer two deposit options — please select your preference when booking:
10% Non-Refundable Deposit A non-refundable deposit of 10% of your total order value. This covers you for all damage to or loss of hire items — no further charges will be made for damaged or lost items.
20% Refundable Deposit A refundable deposit of 20% of your total order value. Your deposit will be returned within 72 hours of all hire items being returned to us in satisfactory condition, subject to any deductions for lost, damaged, dirty or damp items (see Section 8).
6. Payment Terms

We accept payment by bank transfer or cash
Payment details will be provided on your invoice. Please do not share payment details publicly.
7. Delivery & Collection
Collection: Items can be collected from our office at 133 Parchmore Road, Thornton Heath, CR7 8LZ.
Delivery: We deliver to all areas within the M25, Surrey and Kent. A mileage charge applies to all deliveries and collections — this will be confirmed in your quote.
8. Return Conditions & Damages
All hired items must be returned in the condition specified for your chosen service option. Items must be returned on the agreed date.
Any items returned lost, damaged, dirty or damp will be charged at the Option A hire price for that item. For example, a chair cover returned dirty will incur a charge of £1.00. Any deductions will be communicated to you before they are made.
We aim to process and return refundable deposits within 72 hours of all items being returned to us in satisfactory condition.
Please note: if you have selected the 10% non-refundable deposit option, no further damage charges apply.
9. Washing & Care Instructions
Chair Cover — wash at 30°C, air dry only, do not iron, fold
Sash — do not wash, fold only
Tablecloths — wash at 30°C, air dry or tumble dry, iron and fold
Napkins — wash at 30°C, air dry, iron and fold
Table Runners — wash at 30°C, air dry, iron and fold
Glassware, Cutlery, Crockery — dishwasher or hand wash
10. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the event: your deposit is forfeited, but any balance payment made will be refunded in full.

Cancellations made within 72 hours of the event: both the deposit and any balance payment are non-refundable.
11. Ownership of Goods
All hire items remain the property of Event Hire South London at all times. Hire items must not be sold, sublet or otherwise disposed of by the customer.
12. Liability
Event Hire South London will not be held liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the hire of our items. Our liability is limited to the value of your order.
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
